We are getting so close to the end of the school year. Where has the time gone? While the way we have had to adjust our teaching methods has been difficult, I am still thankful for the opportunity to reach you all.
Even though we have had to "social distance" from each other, there are many ways that we can communicate. Over the phone, video chats, across the street, snail mail, and many other things allow us to continue our relationships with one another. Sometimes, when we talk (or type) to people over the computer or on our phone, whether it be friends or strangers, we feel removed to the point where we think it's okay to say or type things that we normally wouldn't if we were face to face with the person we were talking to. Maybe we feel so strongly about the topic being discussed or we feel more bold behind the protection of our screen.
So, I wanted this week to focus on CARING. Again, whether it be family, friends, or strangers; whether it be in person or through technology; whether it's a long conversation or a short note: Make sure the words you use, the images you share, or the video you present is respectful. You can communicate with others your own opinion without being hurtful.
Watch this video that shows a fun way how simply changing your attitude can make a world of difference. It's so important to try and connect with others in a positive way, even if we can't physically.

As always, if you ever need to talk to me (or chat with me), email me to set up a time to chat on my website here, or feel free to add me on Teams! Its been a great way for me to chat with students so far.
