About MeMy name is Mary Argenbright, and I am the school counselor at Washington-Lee Elementary School. I graduated from ETSU with a Master's in School Counseling five years ago. I live in Bristol, Virginia, am married to the love of my life. I have two sweet furbabies named Chayn and Lynk, as well as a beautiful daughter who was born in January of this year. This is my sixth year as the School Counselor at Washington-Lee, and I am truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful community. I am passionate about working with children, music, Stitch (from Disney's "Lilo and Stitch"), running, food, and my family. Below are a few things I offer as a school counselor.
|
Classroom Guidance• With the many changes that have happened this year, I will not be teaching regular Classroom Lessons. Instead, I will be creating a video for students to watch every Monday Morning. We will focus on mindfulness and social skills during this time.
|
Individual Counseling• I provide individual counseling sessions for students during the school day on an as-needed basis
• Students, parents/guardians, and teachers may request for a student to meet with me • Having been trained in play therapy, I often utilize those methods and skills as I firmly believe that children communicate most effectively through play |
Small Groups• Groups of students who struggle with a similar issue may be invited to a Small Group with me
• Students, parents/guardians, and teachers may request for a student to meet with me • Unfortunately, we will not have Girls On The Run this year. |
